Now Hiring:

MEDICAL OFFICE ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT​

 

This role plays an important part of the office’s team, supporting both the Occupational Therapists and Office Management in their day-to-day operations.

​

Job Description:

​

Below highlights the major duties, tasks, and responsibilities of the role:

  • Welcome patients and notify therapists of arrival

  • Assist in answering phones, complete new patient intakes, and run patient payments

  • Maintain the organization and stock of treatment rooms, kitchens and supply closets

  • Input new patient information into EMR and create new patient charts 

  • Reach out to families for appointment reschedules  

  • Prepare daily patient payment receipts and room schedules

  • Prepare feeding trays per therapist direction. Clean the dishes

  • Handle daily administrative requests from the therapists. 

  • Create and maintain various reports and worksheets for Office Management 

 

Job Requirements and Skills:

  • At least two years’ experience as a Medical Office Admin Assistant or similar role

  • Knowledge of healthcare practices, standards, and medical terminology

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word, and Canva

  • Ability to multi-task with several projects/duties simultaneously. High level of energy required

  • Excellent communication skills and friendly demeanor 

 

Other:

            Part-time position with 29 hours per week, as follows:

                        Monday          1:00-7:00 PM

                        Tuesday         11:00-5:00 PM

                        Wednesday    1:00-7:00 PM

                        Thursday        1:00-7:00 PM

                        Friday             12:00-5:00 PM

Now Hiring:

OCCUPATIONAL THERAPIST 

​

We are seeking a high energy, organized, experienced Occupational Therapist to join our pediatric team! You will provide direct client care in an exciting, state of the art, outpatient pediatric environment with opportunities for interdisciplinary coordination to maximize child outcomes.

​

Responsibilities:

​

  • Provide assessment and treatment for children with functional limitations or impaired participation in daily roles and routines due to emotional, physical, cognitive, or behavioral barriers

 

  • Monitor and assess client progress through data-driven measures and functional outcomes

 

  • Utilize evidence-based practice, best practice guidelines, and clinical reasoning to drive treatment planning

 

  • Convey evaluation results and client progress to caregivers and other community members (i.e. pediatricians, psychologists, school team, counselors, other rehab professionals, etc.)

 

  • Provide organized, timely, and thorough documentation and billing in accordance with professional and payor requirements

 

  • Contribute to a clean and healthy environment

 

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited university

  • Active Maryland OT licensure in good standing and National Board Certification in Occupational Therapy

  • At least 1 year of experience as an occupational therapist working with pediatric population 

  • Strong ability to build rapport with clients and caregivers

  • Passion to help and motivate others

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, desire to work as part of a clinical team
