Our Family Serves the Greater Baltimore Community

We believe the support of community is an invaluable part of helping children thrive and reach their full potential..

We have made it part of our mission to reach out to our community using our skills, knowledge and drive to help promote, sponsor and volunteer at events that meet the medical and psychological needs of children and their families. Below are some organizations and events that we will be participating in. Care to join us?

KTT COATS DRIVE FOR HEARTS PLACE SERVICES

Please donate any unwanted new or gently used coats for our neighbors in the Baltimore Community. We are collecting coats of any size, hats, gloves and scarfs in our waiting room area. If you would like to donate, please do so by February 12, 2021 so that we may deliver them to Hearts Place Services.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Also if you would like to leave a positive message for your neighbor receiving the coat, you may do so and leave it in side the coat pocket.

10th ANNUAL RUN WILD FOR AUTISM

5K RACE AND 1 MILE FUN RUN & WALK

On September 26, 2020, in support of the 10th Annual Run Wild for Autism 5K Race and 1 Mile Fun Run & Walk, the KTT team ran together through Baltimore harbor for this year’s virtual race.

This event benefited Pathfinders for Autism, which is a statewide organization dedicated to improving the lives of individuals with autism and their families.

KTT KIDS HELPING SENIORS SMILE

As it is well known, the seniors in Retirement Facilities can get quite lonely, especially during these uncertain times with COVID-19 where the seniors must stay isolated in their rooms. Our kids at KTT decided to help bring smiles by sending letters and cards to senior residents. The kids focused on spring themes, colors, and holiday messages. The goal of this outreach was to brighten the day for residents while at the same time our kids worked on developing their writing and fine motor skill development. Dozens of cards, letters and pictures were delivered to the residents at Oak Crest Senior Living Facility. Many kids received responses back from the residents.

CASEY CARES FOUNDATION

Casey Cares is a local non-profin who provides activities, events and fundraising to support families with children battling critical illness, children require extended hospitalization for life threatening conditions and palatine care. Casey Cares provides children with the opportunity to be kids! They fund and help arrange opportunities for families to engage in childhood experiences, whether this. Include visiting local attractions, going to a sports game, or providing a movie and pizza night for the family. In April 2023/2024, KTT participated in in #CaseyCaresBiggestPJParty- we loved wearing pajamas to work and collected donations from our KTT families to deliver to Casey Cares. On August 5th, 2023, come KTT members participated in the Casey Cares 5K Run/Walk at the Baltimore Zoo. It has been a great time participating in these awesome events with our local community!

BELIEVE IN TOMORROW CHILDREN'S FOUNDATION

We are proud to have participated and sponsored in the wonderful “Port to Fort 6K” in the Spring of 2024. As many things, this event was held virtually and the KTT each ran individually in support of the event. Since the event has been back live, members of the KTT team have run in the event 2022, 2023 & 2024. The Foundation provides hospital and respite housing services to critically ill children and their families, keeping families together during a child’s medical crisis. We hope to support again in the future.

NOLAN ROBISON FOUNDATION

The Nolan Robison Foundation was founded by KTT’s co-owner, John Robison. He and his wife started this foundation after their son passed away in 2015. Their mission is to help as many children and their families in need of therapeutic care for depression, anxiety and/or attention deficit disorder. This foundation is very dear to the KTT family, especially because as occupational therapists, we know how important the care from a psychologist, psychiatrist and/or social worker can be. Every year, KTT sponsors and volunteers at the foundation’s annual fundraiser. We start the day with a lacrosse “tribute” in the morning, and end with a Bull Roast and a fun evening of food, drinks, music, dancing and various auctions and games to help raise money for those children and their families in need of care and support. KTT will be sponsoring the last Bull Roast event for the Nolan Robinson Foundation on September 13th, 2024 at Farmacy Brewing.

THANKSGIVING DINNER

Thanksgiving is the season of being thankful for what we have. KTT is thankful and fortunate for its amazing clients and families. We want to give back to our community this Thanksgiving by providing a Thanksgiving meal to two families in need or that have been through some hardships this year. Our team will be working together to provide a nutritious meal and fun crafts to brighten a family’s day.

STEP UP FOR DOWN SYNDROME WALK

KTT sponsored the Step Up for Down Syndrome Walk on October 21, 2023 at Rash Field in the Inner Harbor. Each year, this event raises funds for the Down Syndrome Association of Maryland organization to provide information and support to families of people with Down Syndrome within the Maryland community. We hope to support this organization again in the future.

BALTIMORE BIRTH FESTIVAL

May 2022 and 2024, KTT has attended the Baltimore Birth Festival in Patterson Park to support the growing families in our community. The Maryland Families for Safe Birth hosts the event to support Baltimore families during pregnancy, postpartum and parenting.
