What to Expect:
ACTIVITIES
Join the EXERSHINEkids POWER Bootcamp Program at Kids Thrive Therapy to enhance your child’s core strength, balance, coordination, and more. We offer therapeutic, recreational and integrated programs for preschoolers, elementary aged kiddos and teens.
FOCUS
Our evidence-based, OT-inspired program focuses on strengthening, sensory processing, executive functioning skills, self awareness and empowerment.
WEEKLY CLASSES
With structured and themed weekly classes (45 minutes in length, structured in 8 week sessions and led by our trained kidSHINE staff), your child will practice concentration, listening, and peer cooperative skills within a positive environment focused on exercise, strengthening and peer connection.
These programs run year round and follow our unique, evidence based framework using high intensity exercise as a change agent.

In 2016, Dr. Amy Wheadon, OTD, OTR/L created kidSHINE Bootcamp—a structured program using high-intensity exercise to boost strength and self-regulation in children. Now rebranded as EXERSHINEkids POWER Bootcamp (in 2020), this evidence-based program is expanding nationally within OT centers. Amy’s doctoral research in 2019 showed significant improvements in sensory processing, social participation, and daily activities after a 16-week participation in the EXERSHINEkids program. The program has expanded to include groups for preschoolers, elementary aged kiddos, and teenagers.
